Tips and recommendations to take care of a wrapped vehicle are mostly the same from all the brand manufacturers.
The unanimous consensus is:
- Clean and remove the dust or road film periodically. Dust are small particles of rock or metals that can overheat the wrap surface. The excessive and constant heat causes the vinyl to dry, crack and the clear lamination to lose its transparency.
- Use mild car soap, a sponge, and no high-pressure hose. There are products specialized for wraps but a non-abrasive, silicone emulsion free soap will do the work.
- Washing practices to avoid:
- High pressure washing (more than 1300 psi.)
- Products that can scratch the vinyl.
- Automatic mechanical rotating brushes from a car wash.
